A real problem I see in the organized church is with people like you, people like me going to service hoping to find the love of God from those up on the stage, up front in leadership. Yes, we look at the pastors, teachers, worship leaders, beautiful singers and inspirational people up there at the pulpit to find the love of God for us at the moment. And if we are honest all of us have left a service or fifty not quite as full of that love as we had hoped. Got a great teaching? Yes. Left feeling full of Gods presence and a sense of personal love? Maybe not so much. In fact, if we are honest, many of us have left bent out of shape feeling somewhat or very much neglected or excluded by those we deemed as carrying the Spirit or heavy hitters of Gods presence because they failed to see us or our personal well hidden needs and neglected to approach and reach out to touch us in some unspecified way(which we usually cant define what that is-but we somehow know they didnt give it to us) or they spent more time with the same people they did last week. Lets get a truth and reality check right now. The love of Christ is in you and in all those other people around you as much as in any special person, group or team. Truth is you and all those others around you are the official God conduit and primary means of showing, knowing, and experiencing the love of God in Christ, revealing that love to all, again, through you...this should be the norm, but it hasnt hit home for many. Stop waiting to be found by the person you have elevated to celebrity status and look at the person next to you. The riches are right next door. Christ is in them too. ~ralphbrier
