A reason I cant stand tumblr is that the majority of the typical tumblr people just want attention. Which, no, isnt bad. And I completely understand and sympathize with it. But I dont sympathize with making it so that youre bullied and get negative attention because its the only kind you think you can get. You arent bullied because youre weird or the way you type or the things you like, youre bullied because youre obnoxious and hypocritical and literally give out reasons for people to bully you. The main reason I dont sympathize is that I was bullied from second to eighth grade. No reason other than the fact that I was different from most kids in maturity, I had glasses, and I was ugly. I was just strange. You know what I was told? To get over it. And so eventually I did. And yeah, there are a few things that kind of scarred me, like my anxiety about being clingy and losing people. Now, Im not saying omg I have anxiety!! Im just saying that I get stressed out to an irrational extent, and the people I love have come to terms with it. I have some other issues, still, too, like overwhelming insecurity over my legs, and sometimes Ill vent to you all, but I dont go around the internet with a metaphorical pan sifting through URLs looking for sympathy. Now you have these TYPICAL tumblr kids who make up issues for attention. And what happens when you tell them itll eventually stop? They make up more. And more triggers are fabricated. Tell them that theyll eventually get over it will grant you a swarm of quote unquote outcasts (which I still kinda am and I dont see any issue with it so like) bombarding you with hate. They hate reality because they know they lie about whats wrong with them in the real world. If you tell yourself you have anxiety, you will eventually develop it. If you wake up in the morning and hate yourself, smile until it hurts and eventually youll get used to it. And dont tell me you cant, because I did. It took two years, but I did. Trust me, I dont doubt people with disorders. Ive had many friends with issues, but I can tell you that they dont list that and every other possible mental illness and every possible trigger in their bio. So stop pretending you have issues to be granted the spotlight, stop pretending you have a problems so that you can bask in sympathy and compliments. If you want attention, make something out of yourself. Thats all.
