A recent Rockefeller Institute report has some sobering numbers about Kansas. Here are the three big takeaways: 1. Kansas is the only state, of all 50, to see economic activity decline as of Feb. 2014. 2. Comparing this year to last year, Kansas has seen the second largest percentage-drop in revenues of all states. 3. 40 states have seen increases in revenues when comparing this year to last year, while 10 states - Kansas included - have seen declines. The income tax cuts have stunted growth in Kansas and damaged our ability to invest resources in the things needed to keep Kansas economically competitive with other states.
