A recent advisory issued by the U.S. Consulate in Bermuda based on a study of unusual local water conditions has understandably raised questions among some visitors, however, we want to provide reassurance that our waters continue to be safe and beautiful for swimming. The Bermuda Department of Health closely monitors our beaches and has stated that they pose no health issues. The Department of Health routinely takes water samples each week at major bathing beaches. The results of these samples continue to meet the U.S. standard for acceptable water quality. There have been no instances to date when water sampling information has caused the closure of bathing beaches. Additionally, there have been no known reports of illness due to water quality problems. The well-being of our guests and residents is our number one priority and we remain committed to ensuring that those who choose to spend their well-deserved holiday here will feel comfortable knowing they can enjoy our gorgeous turquoise water and signature pink-sand beaches.
