A recent comment in this group stated that proof existed that consciousness was a product of the brain. Ive been fascinated with the subject of consciousness for many many years and I was anxious to see this proof and so requested its source. I was directed to a book which was, in fact, already in my possession. The book contains opinions and views but no proof. I mention this because it was interesting listening to a radio programme in which neuroscientists were discussing this very matter. To set the current record straight, although various fascinating ideas were put forward they concluded that the jury was still out and that consciousness and its source continues to be a mystery.
