A recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that child obesity is on the decline, and obama was quick to take credit for it on her twitter account. She tweeted, “Together, we’re making a real difference in helping kids across the country get a healthier start to life.” However, what obama failed to understand is that the study was looking at children from 2008 to 2011. Let’s Move’s launch in 2010 would not have had time to have a significant impact on the study’s subjects. Another article from Scientific American shows that the decline in childhood obesity started in 2003, when George W. Bush held the Presidency. The good news is that childhood obesity is on the decline, but let’s give credit where credit is due!
