A recruiter asked me on linkedin to refer AdWords professionals for a vacancy at Jumia. The poor guy is literally contacting every single person working in digital marketing with no luck. The reason why, is Jumias incompetent HR & Hiring managers who never revert with a feedback. Add to this the arrogance of the hiring managers who brag out with the number of interviewees they rejected and they even name them in interviews. 14 months ago, Ive been approached by their hr team -without even applying- and they decided that I was over qualified. However, they invited me for a second interview though. They offered me to work on consultancy basis & the GM offered to pass my CV to their German team. Surprisingly afterwards I never heard from them back. Same scenario precisely occurred with several colleagues. So a bottom line, Ill never refer anybody to this unprofessional employer.
