A reduction in benefits of over $1,000 for our huge numbers of elderly poor would literally mean death for some of them. It would mean not being able to eat adequately. Im curious, what do all my fellow Democrats have to say to this? Did you think you were voting for a President who would back down from tackling the astronomical transfer of wealth to the super rich, increase our bloated national security budget, and allow major corporations to continue to fail to pay adequate taxes, while harming our most vulnerable and increasing the burden on the sinking middle class? When are Democrats going to actually stand up to this man? When are we going to get a spine, a voice, a backbone? What is it going to take, to hold this man and this party accountable to its long-standing ideals? Why are you remaining silent, while this President negotiates with the likes of John Boehner - at the expense of every single person in this nation, save for the super rich? We need your voices ladies and gentlemen. We need you to stand up against this. Call, write, email, tweet, post on Facebook. DEFEND YOUR COUNTRY and the ideals you purport to support. -- Tangerine Bolen, Activist and Co-Defendant in Hedges Et Al V. Obama Et Al
