A reminder that our monthly speaker is tonight, instead of the usually first Wednesday. Dr. Ben Vallejo from UPV and UPD will be speaking about his long-standing research on beaches in West Visayas, including beaches on Guimaras. The title of his talk is Climate Change Resiliency on the Beach. Next week, the UPV Public Health seniors will be presenting their senior projects to us for our input and our financial support. This is the second year in a row that we have done this. Speaking in front of a non-academic professional crowd is great practice for them and it is a great opportunity for us to support good public health programs in underserved communities and to introduce more people to Rotary.
