A reminder that sr. Night will be thursday . We play Salem for a trip to the playoffs after a one year absence. I want to say a few things about these kids. Ive heard that some fans and classmates have lost faith in these kids and thats a shame. Ive followed these kids from the beginning of the year and have seen some ups and downs. Ive seen us blow teams out and get blown out. What a lot of people dont understand is this team is full of sophomores. We are very young. And since the mccrory game this team has played with emotion since. Ive seen a kid play with an injured arm that will require surgery at the seasons end,Ive seen a kid play on one leg basically because his ankle was badly injured the game before. Ive seen a kid work his tale off with a trainer to be able to come back for this last game to help his team. I seen a kid against marked tree get up from numerous hard tackles and basically carry his team on his back offensively against marked tree. Ive seen a kid fight for his teammates when an opposing player tried to push them around. Ive seen numerous kids on this team play hard and with pride and emotion from sophomores to SRS. I graduated from this school years ago and have seen the great times including a state championship. Ive seen the bad times,the several years in a row where we didnt win a game. Ive seen it all. One thing I can say about this bunch of kids is they work hard and want to win as bad as anybody. And everyone should support them because they deserve it. Im proud of these guys. And yall should be too.
