A reminder that the powerless have never been given anything in this country that they did not fight tooth and nail for. Freedom was never granted, it was taken. Segregation didnt end of its own accord, it was stopped. The vote wasnt given, it was fought for and people paid in blood. No one in power ever gave it away willingly and the status quo will do everything it can to maintain its control. That has never changed.
