A report of Muddy Cephalopods great weekend at the #BloominFestival Saturday it was non stop from opening until closing 9-5 Sunday, while it had the same 9-5 hours, didnt get busy until 10am, and then this Rain or Shine event deadened when the rain began to fall around 3pm. While other vendors packed up their booths at the sign of the first drops, we didnt start packing until after 4pm when there were no longer attendees at the festival. We felt that they had been so good to us that for as long as there were festival goes that we were going to be there for them no matter how wet it got. Still, we managed to get everything packed up before the bottom fell out. The the attendees and the vendors were sooooooo nice, happy, friendly, and just glad to be there. This was our first event at this location and that alone would have been a good reason to go back again next year. There were so many people that remarked about just how impressively colorful and different her pottery was compared to what theyve seen anywhere. There was no one type of item that sold the most. Everything sold: Bowls Cups Sponge holders Mugs Sculptural modified cups and mugs. Large pieces - sculpted bowl and skull jar Skull mugs Handless mugs Yarn bowls A little of everything. The one thing we didnt have plenty of, thoroughly by accident, was spoon rests. We would have sold plenty of those had we had them. And, for some reason, we had no less than six verbal requests about pieces with turles. She was requested to participate in several art shows, a gallery, and join a national association. We sold A LOT of stuff and brought home a far lighter load than we started with. This was the first show of the year. If this kind of response is indicative of what happens when we go to a show that is more ART based than craft based, we WILL most certainly be doing more of these type of shows!!! I love you LOTS Stacy. Ive always believed in you, what you can do, and what you will do. Your work is amazing, and so are you! :)
