A report was made on Tuesday 13th that Scammers are calling phone numbers of vulnerable elderly residents stating they work for Google. The scam involves stating they have a virus on their computer systems, they then ask for payment for Anti-virus software to be installed. This spyware accesses your bank details and passwords and makes your computer completely unsafe. Please make your elderly relatives/neighbours aware of this scam and advise them not to provide any details over the phone. If in doubt, just say no.
