A report yesterday found that 57,000+ veterans have waited at least 90 days for their first appointment with the VA. Thats simply unacceptable. Today, I voted in support of the Veterans Access to Care Act to allow veterans who live 40+ miles from a VA facility, or have been waiting for an excessive time, to utilize non-VA care. This would help make it easier to access quality care for our veterans.
