A resident has contacted us about excessive barking of an unknown - TopicsExpress

A resident has contacted us about excessive barking of an unknown dog around the Woodside street area. They recognise that the owners of the dog may actually be unaware that it barks non stop during the day - setting off other dogs in the area. The resident has tried to locate the particular dog, and house at which it lives, however was unable to do so which makes it tricky. Council cannot obviously take action to advise the owner if the dog cant be identified. Heres the thing - this resident would prefer no formal action, but excessive barking makes it extremely hard for them as they work from home. They also understand that most dog owners are more than reasonable and responsible...so thought perhaps a polite plea via this page may increase their awareness - or a neighbour may think to let them know as it would be distressing for the animal to bark all day!! We are lucky at The Gap in that we have many other residents who offer to walk dogs during the day - which may be just what this Dogs owner needs ... (Or doggy day care in Bardon).
