A responsible parent cannot just be measured by the material things that s/he can provide to his/her children. A parent should know that s/he is also responsible to give time and attention to them. S/he should see to it that s/he is there, physically and emotionally present to look after his/her children. Parenthood is not just mere financial responsibility. Many parents these days think that providing every material need and/or demand of their children is what makes them good parents. They forget that their moral responsibility towards their children is more important. They forget that whats more important is to teach their children values and even more important is to help them grow spiritually (not by merely attending mass/sunday services but really teaching them to love and treat others kindly as how God loves us). Love towards ones children is best expressed in TIME and not in gifts. PRESENCE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN PRESENTS. Why am I posting this? Kay ingon mi kay mommy dungagan na namo iyang apo.
