A review for Carrie: The Musical, left on our website. He left beautiful comments about not only the show, but the Playhouse as a whole. We edited below for length only, but you can read whole review at the link below. The Erie Playhouse is a vibrant place for theater and I had the pleasure of seeing, Carrie: The Musical. Calling myself an avid playgoer would be far from the truth, leaving me with no real expectations of the play experience. As the play began, all actors seemed to be on point. The music was always on cue with not a sour note to be heard. Each and every actor and actress was enthusiastic and was rehearsed in his or her lines. They showed great emotion when necessary, and all had outstanding singing voices. The lead male, Blake Bojewski, amazed me with his vocal range, voice, and acting abilities. Blake was outstanding, and made the musical that much more entertaining. The play concluded, and simply put, I was blown away by how well done it was. The actors and actresses of the play all seemed to know their lines quite well. It seemed as if there were no slip ups, or mis-cues. I was very impressed by how well each could sing, dance, and interact with one another on the stage. They all seemed to work together very well like a great group of friends. There was not one thing that I could say any of them did not do exceptionally well. Every facet of the acting far exceeded my expectations. Upon first knowledge of the title of the musical, I was fairly skeptical. I had never really heard of Carrie other than from recent TV commercials depicting the feature length film based off of the Stephen King novel. I did not know what to expect as I sat down in my seat. As the musical continued, I found myself engrossed in the story, and was engrossed in it. I found Carrie: The Musical to be a very entertaining production, with a wonderful story line. In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed my Erie Playhouse experience. From the modernized updates, the great acting, and show, i may just find myself coming back for another performance. I applaud the efforts of everyone involved in the production, and thank them for my great experience. I look forward to seeing another production at the Erie Playhouse. Well, there ya go, folks.
