A road closure is currently in place on Canyon Road from the USU Water Lab parking lot to the parking lot at First Dam/Canyon Entrance Park which is at U.S. 89 and Canyon Road. The closure is to facilitate trail construction work occurring in this area of Canyon Road. Traffic intending to access Logan Canyon from Canyon Road must detour at 200 East or 600 East and use 400 North (U.S. 89) to access Logan Canyon. Local and business traffic traveling east and west bound on Canyon Road will have access up to the USU Water Lab parking lot. Construction and road closure signs are posted for traffic safety and the safety of construction crews working in the area. Traffic westbound from U.S. 89 at the mouth of Logan Canyon will not be permitted to travel through the construction zone on Canyon Road beyond the parking lot at First Dam/Canyon Entrance Park. West bound traffic on U.S. 89 must detour to 600 East, 200 East, or Main Street. The road closure will be in effect until Friday, May 16.
