A road construction project that will tear up the Wenatchee downtown business core for several weeks will get started Monday. Signs are going up today letting people know that a five-block stretch of Wenatchee Avenue between Kittitas and Second streets will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights. Once the utility work is complete, the downtown area will be repaved. The downtown project is expected to be completed in late July. (full story available at wwrld.us/downtown-streetwork)
