A sad and happy day today...the abuelas went into what used to be our clinic to clean and prepare it for its phoenix rising as a library, plant nursery and office for me...It was sad to see all those 4,000 patient files go into boxes and to realize that each of those files represented a person who had some affliction that we helped to solve. I realized again how much effort and energy we had put into the clinic over the years. Thanks to Dr. Evelyn and all the volunteers who dedicated so much time and energy to healing the people of la carpio over the many years. On the other hand, to see the abuelas so excited to plan their vision of a new kind of community center was great...Changes, transitions, evolution. Be flexible and go with the times. Thanks Dr. Evelyn for all the years you dedicated to helping to heal the people of La Carpio. It was not in vain1
