A sad day with some future impact for older Gen Personal Computer users..Windows 7 (along with the familiar Windows XP).Windows 7 was Microsoft`s best operating system..a robust OS.., flexable in use and conventional feeling(with typical mouse & keyboard) Both Windows 7 & XP were the familiar Microsoft PC feel & look most of Us remember so well - a friendly port of Call (Since the early 1990`s,those You`ve got Mail AOL internet PC days of Windows 95 & Win 98 ) Both 7 & XP were steadfast, bullet proof and mostly troublefree start your PC and count on the blue background, friendly multicolor flag & sound jingle Windows 7 and XP were the workhorse of most colleges & schols .Offices & Companies ..the ubitous Operating System commonly found in most consumer desktop PCs for those Boomer Gens ..all Personal Home Computer users..Today,unfortunately at this technical help support point - Microsoft (in it`s infinite Bill Gates Wisdom :)is chasing the best course for future profits.it`s focus on is now on supporting all later Windows operating systems incarnations after Win 7 -such as Windows 8/Win 8.1 and the new 2015 - Windows 10 (Those marketplace tech resource decisions driven more by the explosion of sales in the portable PCs, Smartphone / Kindle style Tablet ..the Apple I-phone/I-Pad market Operating systems using the Tech of human fingers swiping Touchscreens (instead of pointing a cursor with a conventional mouse,typing on a real full size desktop keyboard ) Windows 7(as Windows XP did till last April 2014) will still have basic security patches and updates downloaded every month for the Win 7 operating system till at least April 2020..-Sadly once again- Just don`t expect to call up Microsoft after today..and get enthusiastic Customer support with your PC Computer operating system having a Technical Problem ..
