A scientific breakthrough! Great discoveries are often made by chance events....Edward Jenner noticed women who worked around cattle got cowpox rather than the much more deadly smallpox and this led to the development of vaccinations. The presence of mold on bread eventually led to the discovery of penicillin. . Anyhow, one of the current uncertainties in science is whether the universe will continue expanding forever, or if theres enough dark matter providing sufficient mass, and therefore, gravity, to slow, and eventually reverse the current expansion, so that the universe will actually collapse on itself. . A few days ago, I was out shooting baskets in my driveway, and the ball got stuck in the net......so, just as I used to do, I jumped up to poke it out of the net. However, I was unable to jump high enough to do this. The only plausible conclusion is that gravity has INCREASED since I was in my 20s, and therefore the expanding universe theory is disproven.
