A sea of pale grey this morning - across which sail ragged patches - TopicsExpress

A sea of pale grey this morning - across which sail ragged patches of darker grey in a seemingly endless procession - but none of them look dense enough to produce even a speck of snow, sleet or even rain, although its certainly cold enough out there to produce any - or all - of those - but I guess being this far east has that effect - anything those patchy clouds might have held has been dumped way back west... Snow in London is very pretty for a few hours, but all too quickly turns into grey slushy ice, so I guess we should be thankful for such small mercies - even though the transformation is indeed quite magical when it happens. The weather prophets did say that we might get a few drops during the day, though, so Im not counting my blessings just yet... Despite the steady procession above, theres almost no sign of any movement here on the ground - all is quiet, calm and still - perhaps poised for whatever the day will bring - but if it doesnt, and the day turns out to be dry, well be lucky, if slightly bored... ho hum - better get the old bass out and give it a bit of a run-out! Stay warm out there! :¬}
