A selection of the latest stories involving Liverpool Football Club this Tuesday morning. Liverpool offloaded two players on the last day of the transfer window but the biggest news at Anfield was striker Fabio Borini staying at the club. Sebastian Coates and Oussama Assaidi joined Sunderland and Stoke City respectively on season- long loan deals, whilst Borini turned down a move to Queens Park Rangers. QPR had an offer of around £13 million accepted for the Italian forward but his wage demands proved too much for the London club. Borini was also subject to a bid from Sunderland but didnt want to make a permanent move to the Stadium of Light Young forward Krisztian Adorjan left the club for Italian side Novara Calcio. The 21-year-old had been at the club for five years but failed to make any real impact on the first team. The Liverpool Echo has confirmed there could be still be one more signing outside of the transfer window in the form of free agent Victor Valdes. It was widely reported yesterday that the Reds were looking at the former Barcelona goalkeeper - who is currently recovering from a knee injury, with a deal a possibility next month, as the one area of the squad that Brendan Rodgers feels needs to be addressed is competition for Simon Mignolet in goal. Left-back Jose Enrique has been talking about his return from a knee injury after he made a late substitute appearance in the 3-0 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
