A sensational start to our UK adventure with us singing "White Cliffs of Dover" when we disembarked the ferry at Dover from Calais yesterday early afternoon; then later learnt the Royal Prince had been born to Kate & William! Had a delightful dinner in the local pub here in Findon, Worthing dated 1527!! Today we saw the Long Man on the hill at Wilmington then visited Battle Abbey - the site of the Battle of Hastings 1066 - and came across Tony Robinson from Time Team and Time Walks - doing a TV segment on the Abbey for his next series of Time Team programs airing next year! He very kindy chatted with us and signed our brochure :) Have just returned from Brighton where we walked out on the iconic Brighton Pier and had fish and chips for tea - one piece stolen by very fast, accurate, swooping seagulls!! Now back in Findon deciding where we will head tomorrow!!
