A separate committee for Gurdwaras of Haryana is in news these days. Haryana Govt; is trying its best for a separate committee named HGPC for all the Gurdwaras of Haryana which are under earlier SGPC control. SAD and SGPC are totally against this development and even Jathedar of Akal Takht did not like this move and appealing sikhs of Haryana against this. They are saying that by this move whole sikh community will be divided and its a conspiracy of Congress against Sikhs. Yearly income of Sikh institutions and Gurdwaras in Haryana is Rs. 400 crores but SGPC total expenditures on them is just Rs. 27 crores. It means the matter of concern is only money. I think that with separate committee sikh institutions can flourish in a better way and by this move sikh community cannot be divided as they are just going for a separate committee not going to change their religion.
