A shaming tactic is a form of emotional mind control designed to stall and sabotage the moment of realization that is a result of observation. Shame, which is actually emotional pain, stops the process of realization by diverting the focus away from realization to the discomfort. This form of emotional warfare is a weapon that people who wish to shroud their actions in secrecy most often use. In effect, the conversation that puts the responsibility on the other person to admit their behavior never happens. The shaming effect blocks the open communication and leaves the responsibility for explanation and justification on one side only.
