A share of a post by Linda. Photos were not allowed in the halls other than the opera costumes. I liked that the information for each display included the names of the performers who portrayed each displayed character, and the dates, conductor, etc., for each performance. All 130 costumes are from the Lyon opera. The musee building – A 1700s mansion used by the Governor of Lyon – was itself worthy of study. The many rooms of 1700s furniture and decor were similar to Versailles, but much more accessible, and I walked through the entire building alone... a benefit of November travel.
