A short and concise video on the topic of hadith by our brother - TopicsExpress

A short and concise video on the topic of hadith by our brother Jonathan AC Brown (who has also authored excellent works which I highly recommend) Spoke to someone recently who was genuinely asking about the preservation of Islam I have found that when people dont trust ahadith or have doubts in the overall authenticity/preservation of narrations, they tend to have very little conceptual understanding of the science - they tend to have not studied the methodologies, conditions, evaluations, history and biographies related to ulum ul hadith (which I personally find to be the most intricate, complex and detailed of all islamic sciences) Orientalists look to our deen through the eyeglass of kufr and people are won over by their superficial arguments - watching a few badly-compiled YouTube videos on part of a hadith on Do not write what I narrate... to prove the point leads to what is possible the most ironic and unacademic Catch 22 situation ever If any of us wished to study a subject matter correctly, we would study it for it is and not for what it is not - you wouldnt learn tajweed from a mushrik so why do we take arguments of the enemies of Islam and critique our own deen with it? Take from the source and not the antithesis of the source - we have the most accurate, detailed and comprehensive of historical information collection known to mankind https://youtube/watch?v=2J4uzCZ8ZRA
