A short video of one of my rubberstamp work I made in the late 80s - TopicsExpress

A short video of one of my rubberstamp work I made in the late 80s or early 90s. The work is 8.5 x 11 inches and was made with rubberstamps from my collection, I have some 750 to 1,000 rubber stamps --- mostly commercially manufactured stamps, but a 100 or so that I had made of my images or images I found. I approach rubber stamping in a particular way, normally I load the surface with lots and lots of images, layers and layers of stamping and get a very dense surface of stamping, the images become part of an overall surface/pattern and it becomes almost abstract. The colour is added with gel pens. There are a number of artists that make rubberstamp art, hundreds not thousands. This work was made for a Correspondence/MailArt exhibition entitled Going Postal, thus the name, and I included a number of images of the globe/earth so the title is GOING GLOBAL GOING POSTAL. Included is the original rubberstamp artwork, then some details with collage elements added digitally, these are mostly Lotería cards, and, then a digitally manipulated full size Adobe Streamline version of the work, with collage elements which more or less concludes the video.
