A shout out to any woman who has ever competed in the Adams Cup - the United States Womens Sailing Championship (or any man who knew someone who did): The Adams Cup now resides at NSHOF, and we have created a Facebook page specifically for the Adams Cup - facebook/adamscup. If you were a competitor (or know or knew someone who did) please visit facebook/adamscup. Like the page and share your stories. If you have names, message us (be sure to include your name and email address) and well get in touch with you! We hope to use the page and our other resources (with your help of course) to collect the names and club affiliations of as many competitors as possible since the regatta was first sailed in 1924. We also hope to document stories - including oral histories, photos, film, and other memorabilia related to the event over the past nine decades - so that one day we can showcase an exciting and moving exhibit celebrating this prestigious event and the notable women sailors who competed.
