A “shut-down” is nothing more than the media playing on fear and anger. You may notice they emphasize things like; your food because of FDA furloughs, long airport line due to TSA furloughs etc. Keep it real people: FOUR PERCENT / 4% of the government workers are being furloughed. It is 800 thousand of the 20 million government workers. Everyday we hear of companies cutting 5% - 10% of the workforce or closing all together. Saving Obamacare? Example; a family of 6, one with a pre-existing medical condition, with a household income of $80,000 per year can now buy health insurance through Obamacare for only $520 per month as apposed to nearly $2000 per month from a regular provider. Interesting is the insurance kicks in after the family has met an annual out of pocket of about $9,000. After then the insurance begins to help but only after a co-pay that is literally off the chart for standard care. The only possible advantage will come from an extremely serious accident or catastrophic illness and then only after the annual out of pocket fee and co-pays are satisfied. Who could have thought anything with the government involved was going to benefit them? Again; 4% of the government.
