A simple classical thriller would be the apt tagline. Every shot in the movie has a reason and whoever feels that the first 1 hour can be trimmed are wrong as they establish the bond between the family. That is the reason, the audience ends up vouching so strongly for them in the mid segment of the movie. The chemistry between the family feels very real and the tiny sequences are pretty well written. The music is effective and minimal, although they could do away with the 2 songs and make it a tad grittier. The approach to the puzzle felt like a homage to the early Alfred Hitchcock cinema and a few novels of Agatha Christie. Its commendable writing. Perhaps one the best thrillers I have seen in a very long time. And I would overlook some liberties taken in some very important sequences. Asha, Meena and Kalabhavan make up for a strong supporting cast whereas Mohanlal remains the reason, you would watch the movie for. He exudes restraint in a role which could have screamed histrionics.
