A slightly different take on the Rob Ford scandal from a personal perspective. Ive been doing some Jungian style shadow work recently, digging in the dirt as it were and I am willing to acknowledge part of my eagerness to laugh at Rob Ford has to do with my own relationships with my addictions. I can make fun of Ford instead of looking at myself. I can make crack jokes about him because its easier than admitting Ford in a way personifies the ugly side of my own self or at least how I feel about myself at times. I was actually thinking of him as a person last night and thought about the pain he must be experiencing as a drunk/addict must feel and somewhere in there I could relate to him. I do hope he does get help and get better and whatever personal demons he cant face he finally does for his sake and his familys sake. That being said I think its fair game to make fun of him for his abuse of power and his arrogance and disdain for the supposed common people he claims to represent. And I still think he has a bright future as a Conservative Party Senator. In the end as usual its more complex than it appears to be. I say GOOD DAY!
