A soft bed and a warm house could be just the medicIne Lexi needs to heal and make her legs feel better PLEASE FOSTER/ADOPT HER NOW. Can someone show this sweet girl that miracles really do happen and open there home to her? The cold and cement floors at the shelter are so bad for her legs and she is no improving. She came in full of mange which has cleared for the most part and but she has been suffering here for months. Good with cats, older kids and other dogs. $10 adoption fee Please email Jen at pibblekiss@gmail to help. If Lexi could talk, she would probably say, My name is Lexi I am 8 years old and still looking for love. Some nights when its quiet at the shelter I hear other dogs talking about their life before they came to the shelter. They talk about soft beds. belly rubs and feeling loved by their humans. I am not sure if those are just dog tales or the truth, because in all my life I never had any of it. The humans I lived with before coming here, did not give me any attention, I felt hungry and my skin itched and many days I was in pain. One day other humans in uniform came and took me away and since then I have been here at the shelter. They give me medication and my skin feels better and I even got some nice fur now and I eat every day so my stomach does not hurt anymore, but I still dont know what belly rubs are?I would love to sleep on a soft bed, as my bones are hurting and I get medication to make it better, but I just cant get comfortable. I enjoy my time here with other dogs in play groups and I dont even mind cats, but really what I would like to know is how is it to feel loved?? This first picture is when she came in, the second now. Burlington County Animal shelter, Westampton, NJ
