A soldier for Christ Watching THIS movie,based on actual events and war crimes against humanity, in Southern Sudan and Northern Uganda,from 1999 until present, tears came running down my cheeks and I felt SO ashamed of the children of Africa....ashamed to be called an African. I couldnt BELIEVE what I saw. How COULD one human being abused,humiliate and strip OTHER human beings of their dignity,to SUCH an extreme?? Broken bodies and broken lives is a hobby for THIS LRA leader,Joseph Kony.Killing and raping women and children is ALL part of a days job to him. Sam Childers,an American citizen,living in Pennsylvania, was released from jail in 1999,where he served a prison sentence for culpable homicide.A few months AFTER his release, he became a born-again Christian.While working on a local church project,he met a pastor who was doing missionary work in Northern Uganda.THIS pastor invited him on a missionary trip to Africa.THIS is where ALL Sams troubles started,because he eventually became the protector of the children in Southern Sudan and Northern Uganda.In the process he SOLD his construction business to fund THIS project,left him and his family ALMOST liquidated and ALMOST lost his marriage.Fourteen years later,he is STILL fighting the LRA,STILL protecting the children,AND,praise the Lord,him and his wife,Lynn are STILL together.Glory to God!! We NEED to Unite Africa,EVEN if it means becoming soldiers for Christ,like the CRUSADERS did in earlier centuries.
