A somewhat fitting end to the Bantam rep season today. I argued a bit about dirty play with a coach from Petrolia, a coach calling Josh dirty. Thats no big deal. Josh crossed the line a few times and was penalized for it. But in this series, Josh has a massive bruise from a butt end, was dropped to his knees by two spears to the groin and stomach and a pitchfork to his package that once again dropped him. All non penalties behind the play. He also knocked a player to the ice who did not move for close to 5 minutes. 4 minute penalty for Josh and 20 seconds of game time missed by the so called hurt player who turned out to be, surprise, not hurt. Sound like a poor loser I guess. Our team also had two goals disallowed with a parent from the other team telling me they were good goals. We also pushed a player away from a scrum and he went like he was shot 20 feet. Penalty. Loss 3-2, season over. But, learned some more life lessons. Spearing, diving, pitch forking, faking, butt ending are all a part of the game. Just not the game I want my kids to play in. Great series Josh. 9 points in 4 games. Nothing to be ashamed of Joshua Hamilton Never, ever play like those guys! Wins are never worth cheating for! Now, enjoy your March break.
