A special message from Paragould High School Director of Bands, - TopicsExpress

A special message from Paragould High School Director of Bands, Mr. Richie Williams, It is with extreme excitement and enthusiasm I post about a dear friend of mine this evening - Mr. Shawn Crawford. He began his journey with us last August as a young, green intern. Mr. Crawford quickly learned his place in The Pride family. He endured all the long hours that marching season brings and carried that dedication into his preparations with all of our students for their All-Region auditions in November, December, and January. It is no coincidence that we set records for membership in All-Region Jazz and Jr. High and Sr. High concert honor bands. Without the countless hours Mr. Crawford put in, none of that would have been possible. I say this without regret or reservation - Shawn Crawford saved our program by stepping into a tough assignment in January. He was my solid rock partner in crime, who never complained and earned my respect. Mr. Shawn Crawford will be missed by us all. We can all look at his example and see a shining representation of what hardwork and dedication can create for a person. He packs his bags and packs up his life to head to Searcy, AR to teach with one of my mentors and long-time Paragould director, Trey Reely. We wish him well. Mr. Crawford, you will always be our Supreme Leader and I count it a blessing to call you my friend. Know you will be loved here in The Friendly City. I encourage all of The Pride family to send him a message of gratitude, love, and well wishes. Mr. Crawford - youre the best!
