A statement from Tony Bennett on the passing of Mario Cuomo: Listening to Mario Cuomo speak was always an exceptional experience. He had the rare ability to communicate with any audience he was speaking to because of his enormous capacity for compassion and understanding of humanity. He was a great American, a wise philosopher and a dear friend and I will always cherish the fact that he and Matilda were our witnesses when I married my wife Susan. I send my deepest sympathies to Matilda and his family on this very sad occasion of his passing.
