A statement from the heart. Most of you know my history of caring for people close to me who have got a terminal illness and most of you may well think you understand how difficult that may be. But it is the unseen bit that really gets to us carers. The long hours that we lay awake through the early hours, unable to sleep, listening to every single noise just in case. The disturbed sleep patterns and the disturbed eating patterns and the hollow feeling In the pit of the stomach. It is no walk in the park folks and it slowly destroys us. Not many would ever post this on here cos either they would not dare, or they wouldnt have my gift with words. But then I have spent a whole lifetime surprising folk so whats knew ? :(
