A step too far. I have been an avid Yo player since September - TopicsExpress

A step too far. I have been an avid Yo player since September 2008 and I have spent many, many thousands of my hard-earned money to buy YC and feed my gaming habit. The inequity of Zynga Coin prices to YC prices have long been reported by thousands of players as blatantly unfair. It should not be at all surprising that a black market was historically established for the buying and selling of coins at a more equitable rate. Long term neglect by Zynga and their inaction to effectively ban hackers or black market coin sellers resulted in a widely accepted culture among the players that this was allowable. I understand it was against the TOS, just as multiple accounts were. But you must remember this was a TOS that was changed to suit the money greedy zynga who had no interest in customer support or consumer service. For example changing the TOS in a money grab and allowing collectibles and holiday items to be re-released after assuring for 5 years on forums by Zynga representatives that this was not to be done. The actions you are taking to retrospectively punish the Zynga rule breakers does not, in my view, take into consideration the eroded culture of the community from long term neglect and abuse by its former owners. I agree that coin sellers should be banned from 12th May as BVG took over the game. But to retrospectively punish players from a time not under your jurisdiction is short-sighted and unnecessarily punitive. It certainly doesnt engender trust from your loyal, big spending cohort of players. After-all - there had to be buyers in this system also. People who were frustrated at their complaints about the inequitable coin rate vs yc rate not being listened to. Is your next step to ban the coin buyers of the past? (Also breakers of previous TOS) I believe if you want to succeed in rejuvenating this game, you need to understand the mindset of the players that were beset by poor management for YEARS. I dont want black market coin markets - I want BVG to make a reasonable and reflective coin rate of their own. However, the Black markets exist/ed for a reason. I urge you to take leadership and look forward and not backward Greg Thomson. Exert your power to stop the current and future rule breakers and accept what is done was done under a different ineffective and weak regime that was the result of poor management and slack consumer service. The players are coming back in droves. Please dont drive them away with unfair practices that doesnt benefit anyone.
