A story of defeating fate: Hidden heroes: Hit by Multiple Sclerosis at a very young age, Mrs Sucheta Singh decided not to blame fate or give up... She joined her husband Mr. Chandrabhal Singh, a well placed Pune citizen, in his great task of superhuman work: Going out in forests, finding out problems that various Adivaasi tribes have, and volunteering to help them overcome their problems: providing legal aid, fighting for their rights, educating them and providing for books etc., educating the elderly, and teaching them sanitation. While most well-placed couples would prefer to stay within their own sphere, these two went all out to give more than they ever received from the society: and not the Easy page 3 type of social work, but actually going to forests where theres no reachability of any networks, roads etc. She has dealt with many of her own health problems / MS attacks while actually working for poorest of the poor, winning them their rights. I am most fortunate as this sweet couple got me this extrtaordinarily beautiful painting by an Adivaasi brother of the Baiga tribe... This is actually painted in all natural color, and has a great meaning to it. Thank you very much, Mr. Chandrabhal and Mrs. Sucheta Singh!
