A student I have started teaching recently has this dog that just runs up to me at the door and climbs up my leg, wraps his paws around it and looks at me with this boundless curiosity and enthusiasm. Hes smallish and has a white, silky coat-- coupled with his animated expressions,when you look at him you cant help but think of a pure, innocent child that loves the sight and presence of others. It reminds me how you can find boundless joy and wonder in the simplest of things. Even as things get tougher, I hope I remember that often enough . Theres this undeniable beauty of existence, of being, as opposed to nothingness. Being alive is the greatest gift of all. I will be very sad indeed when I have to let it go. :)
