A student from my calculus class didnt show up for Thursdays test. Since he had not done any of the Online Homework and he had already missed an excessive number of classes, I withdrew him from the class. I also emailed him on Thursday to inform him of his withdrawal. This student was so disconnected that he showed up to class today (10 minutes late, at that). I informed him of his withdrawal and told him that I had emailed him on Thursday. He logged into his email on his smart phone, presumably read that email, and quietly left. How disconnected can a student be to not even know when hes been withdrawn from the class?
