A study by the Queensland University of Technology asked students from a Digital Portfolio Unit to give up their phones for 24 hours. Most said it would be easy due to a lack of digital dependency. The studies concluded that simple and arbitrary tasks and features such as a clock, bank statements, maps and university aids were taken for granted on mobile devices. However, once adjusted to the change students relished the digital freedom and questioned what a release from technologys overwhelming grip could mean to the personal relationships in their lives. Would they be a better friend? Or would they be left out? Im curious to see how any of us would go. Anyone game? Haha :P
