A study of Joshua - TAKE THE LAND Joshua 1v1-11. Joshua 13:1 When Joshua was old and well advanced in years, the Lord said to him, “You are very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over. God is on a mission and he calls Israel to go with Him as there are still very large areas of land to be taken over. But first they had two things to face and overcome! 1. Facing FEARS Moses is dead and giants populate the land! God: Joshua 1:5 - No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. 2. Facing FLESH Joshua 1:7-8 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. God is still on a mission and he calls us to go with Him, so push past your fears, push past your flesh, and take the land knowing that God will be with you wherever you go! Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
