Please note that while the subjects of this study werer African-American, there is every reason to believe that children of any race have similar increased risk of autism from the MMR vaccine, which is generally given at 12-15 months. This is MAJOR news. The mainstream scientific community has long ridiculed the idea that vaccines increase the risk of autism, stating that any such claims have been totally disproven. Not only does this study provide the strongest evidence to date that vaccines are a significant contributing factor in autism, but it is extremely disturbing (though unfortunately not too surprising) that the government agencies that are entrusted to safeguard public health have known about this for years yet deliberately covered it up.
