A successful search and rescue mission was conducted tonight in a very treacherous location during severe weather conditions. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Pendleton County Search and Rescue, Northern Pendleton Fire Dept, Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, Pendleton County 911, Pendleton County Emergency Management and Augusta FD, two individuals in a disabled boat were located and rescued off the Ohio river. The efforts of our first responders during this night time operation saved these stranded individuals from a life threatening situation. Great job and many thanks to all the first responders who answered the call and put themselves at risk for the benefit of others.
