A super busy day of errands, organizing the barn & office, & packing to be gone for three weeks. My morning definitely started off fun, inspirational & fantastic, an excellent morning meeting, breakfast with a couple very good friends, & a long chat with a dear friend which touched my heart with his genuine caring friendship. Then began the seemingly never ending errands & list of things to do around the barn & house, by late this afternoon I was moving on fast forward with a near desperation to my steps, feeling slightly frazzled & almost overwhelmed. Upon finally getting to my house I stepped outside to fill bird feeders & clean fountains in the gardens, as I leaned in between the jasmine to turn on the hose my heart paused as my senses became aware of the overpowering beautiful fragrance of the clusters of tiny white jasmine blossoms next to my cheek. In that moment all of the frazzled, hurried, overwhelmed feelings instantly disappeared in a wave of indescribable gratitude. A softness & ease had taken over my steps as I turned to walk back to the bird garden with the hose, my heart now aware of the simple beauty surrounding me, quietly my heart began absorbing the tiny little beautiful details of the countless birds flying in for evening snacks at the feeders, the peaceful sounds of the fountains combined with the bird song symphony in surround sound & glancing in the direction of my butterfly garden just at the right moment to take in the graceful magnificent beauty of a zebra long wing butterfly fluttering around the passion vines & firecracker bush. Now packing complete & before making some dinner, I find myself taking a few more moments to once again sit quietly in my butterfly garden my heart finding joy, faith, love & gratitude a familiar peaceful contentment wraps around me, reminding me that each this day has been a precious, beautiful & amazing page in my journey...
