A sweet and wonderful friend of my youth will be missed by all who knew her Linda Simpson Nerenberg, 62, of Middletown, died Monday, August 12, 2013, at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. She was born in Middletown on October 2, 1950 to parents Earl and Betty (Murphy) Simpson. Linda was a teacher for 30 years, having taught at Roosevelt & Miller Ridge in Middletown and Monroe Elementary. She retired as Curriculum Data Specialist for Monroe City Schools in 2012. Ms. Nerenberg is survived by her sons, Josh (Sandra) Nerenberg, Jason (Kristen) Nerenberg & Jared (Anna) Nerenberg; father, Earl Simpson; grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Brendon Nerenberg, Cameron Motley & Jackson Nerenberg; brother, David (Billie) Simpson; sister, Nancy (Sis) Simpson; and special friends, Denise Moberg & Rita Kolp. She was preceded in death by her mother. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 10:00 am at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Sally Kash officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
